Commercial Project Manager

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in flooring, installation, construction or carpentry residential homes or commercial building
  • Communication and customer service and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with use of mobile phones, tablets and desktop computer
  • Proficiency operating software like Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook Email and Outlook Calendar
  • Valid Driver’s License with good standing
  • Read floor plans, blue prints and CAD drawings
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Able to multi-task and manage time efficiently out in the field and office
  • Work well in a team setting

Duties:

  • Read and review blueprints to gain understanding of project material and installation requirements and perform field measurements when necessary
  • Work with warehouse and contractor to schedule material deliveries and inspection-site for quality, accuracy, and damage
  • Complete necessary forms to initiate material returns or claims
  • Manage daily activity of flooring installers/subcontractors in concert with the project schedule and inspect installations for quality
  • Work with purchasing, sales, and vendors to release, expedite and manage materials
  • Conduct moisture tests of substrates as materials require
  • Inspect job sites before installation and work with builder/customer to correct any issues before install begins
  • Attend weekly construction meetings as necessary
  • Perform final quality inspections of all installations and communicate any issues with subcontractor/installer

Compensation:

  • Pay starts at $35,000 per year or higher based upon experience

Estimator

We have a new opening for a materials Estimator. This position will use a computer software program to determine all of the material and labor needed for residential and commercial projects. Must demonstrate attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Helpful to have some experience readying blueprints and be proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel. This is an entry-level position that could lead to a career path at an a successful established company that just celebrated our 20-year anniversary. Essential Functions

  • Import electronic blueprint drawings into the measure software program
  • Create or import material and labor product information, including description, color and size.
  • Assign materials to each part of the floor plan or surface
  • Review construction documents and understand materials to bid
  • Meet deadlines and prioritize projects to estimate with the management team
  • Flag potential inaccuracies or concerns
  • Read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, specs, addenda and RFIs
  • Research plans and specifications to determine any special material requirements
  • Speak and understand English

Warehouse Delivery

Reliable self motivated person to deliver flooring material to commercial and residential job sites. Primary responsibility will be delivery with some ware house as needed. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs on a regular basis. Class B CDL and forklift experience a plus. Must have valid drivers license. Must pass a pre-employment DRUG test. Willing to train right person.

Duties

Sales Internship

FLOOR360 believes strongly in creating a valuable learning experience for students wishing to learn about working in the interior design and flooring industry. This position is perfect for a student who is studying sales, marketing or interior design and enjoys working with a team and interacting with clients and customers. Here some of the duties involved with a sales and design internship in the showroom at FLOOR360 :

  • Shadow salespeople when they are working with customers.  This is the best way to find learn about products and communicating with customers.
  • Help fill out sample check out forms for salespeople
  • Help communicate samples that have been returned if the salesperson is not available.  Finding out from the customers how did the samples work, new samples needed etc?
  • Keep showroom clean and organized with samples put away.
  • Label tile and work with Vice President of Sales and Design to get the tile out
  • Work with Vice President of Sales and Design to place new products out on the floor and pull discontinued samples off the floor.
  • Find opportunities to train in product knowledge and sales.
  • The hours and days of the week will be discussed during the interview
  • Help assist in CAD drawings as needed.
  • Helps assist FLOOR360 team as needed.
