MADISON, WI (February 19, 2019) – FLOOR360, provider of high-fashion flooring and designs will host Spring into Design on April 3, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in their showroom 5117 Verona Road in Madison. The fifth Madison area charity that will receive a free Design for a Difference interior makeover will be revealed to an expected crowd of over 300. Matt Muenster host of “Bath Crashers” on HGTV and graduate of UW Madison will talk about his insights and behind-the-scenes experiences with over 200 bathroom remodels. Attendees can bid on items in a silent auction fundraiser while enjoying drinks and food pairings from Blue Plate Catering with live music. The public is invited to this free event courtesy of FLOOR360 by registering in advance at floor360.com/d4ad.
“We’re celebrating our fifth year of sponsoring Design for a Difference – Madison,” said Bob Tobe, CEO of FLOOR360. “FLOOR360 couldn’t provide free interior makeovers each year without the Madison interior design community volunteering their talents for six months and generous local businesses who donate time, talent, materials and funds.”
In addition to the FLOOR360 leadership team, leaders from the local non-profits that received Design for a Difference makeovers in the past are expected to speak to the crowd. Karen Menendez-Coller (Executive Director of Centro Hispano) and Sharyl Kato (Executive Director of Rainbow Project) will say a few words about the benefits their organizations have experienced since their facilities received a facelift. The executive director of the non-profit organization that will receive the 2019 makeover will attend and say a few words as well.
Past Madison area non-profits that received a free makeover are the Respite Center at RISE/Center for Families in 2015. Then The Rainbow Project in 2016, Centro Hispano in 2017. In 2018, the design team and over 200 volunteers executed a 12,800 square foot makeover of East Madison Community Center in Madison, WI.
FLOOR360 uses design to make a difference in your home and in our community. The design and installation professionals at FLOOR360 utilize comprehensive processes that ensure a high level of satisfaction at every stage of the buying and installation process. FLOOR360 sponsors the only design driven movement in Madison that brings interior designers and local businesses together to makeover much needed spaces at local charities.
Design for a Difference is a national design focused movement established in 2013 as a way for members of the International Design Guild to use design to make a difference in the lives of people in their communities. FLOOR360 made a commitment to select and provide a makeover free of charge to a Madison area non-profit once per year beginning in 2015. Resources needed for the makeovers are donated by area interior designers, suppliers, contractors, laborers, businesses and individual donors.
