No one wants a moldy or leaky shower! And we know how to prevent it. Every shower installed by FLOOR360 utilizes the Schluter Shower System. Check out this recent training session for FLOOR360 team members. The Schluter Shower System (Kerdi Waterproofing) provides a bonded, watertight assembly of components – no failures due to water and vapor penetration!
Recently the FLOOR360 sales team was part of a demonstration on the “right way” to have a waterproof shower.
The FLOOR360 group of designers, estimators and project managers observe as the first few steps of installing the Schluter System are demonstrated by Schluter staff and FLOOR360 installers. This included building a bench for a shower and connecting wall and floor panels.
Next we adhere the Ditra membrane to provide a watertight coverage to the wall and floor panels. Ditra accommodates movement stresses to prevent cracked tile and grout, protects moisture sensitive materials such as plywood and OSB, protects tile covering from damage due to excess moisture, and distributes weight throughout to support tile covering.
Every step is important – from walls to drain placement. The Ditra membrane is connected directly to the drain system ensuring that any moisture working through the tile will contact the Ditra and be directed into the drain, not into your walls or floors.
The Schluter – Ditra & Ditra XL Lifetime Warranty provides consumers with peace of mind. All FLOOR360 installers are Schluter Certified, ensuring each the best professional installation service possible.
FLOOR360 believes in high quality installation, continuous education, and re-certification training for our whole team. We also believe in offering the best products to our customers. If you are contemplating a bath or shower project, be sure to use the Schluter System (available at FLOOR360) to avoid water damage and costly repairs.
