Yahara House mission
Our mission is to transform the lives of people living with mental illness by replacing despair, stigma and isolation with hope, dignity, and community. Much more than simply a program or a social service, Yahara House is a community of people who are working together to achieve some common goals:
- Assistance with educational goals.
- Develop self-esteem, confidence, & coping strategies.
- Connect with others & build a community.
- Members & staff work side-by-side in running of the Clubhouse.
- Find or return to paid work through Transitional Employment, Supported Employment & Independent Employment.
- Find & secure locally available resources.
- Live a life of respect and independence within the greater community.
